I found a vinyl monster online that I loved but I didn’t want to pay $20 for it. I wanted to include it in a custom monster themed box that I just sent out (pics coming soon!) so I recreated the image in photoshop and added some kid friendly features like the little horns and a smile.
Vinyl sticks to pretty much anything so this little guy could be peeking out the bottom of a notebook, lunchbox, or (my original thought) the bottom of a closet wall!
I imported the photoshop picture into my Silhouette software and used the trace feature to make a cutting file. Then I laid this gridded transfer paper on top. All you have to do is peel and stick! The gridded paper helps to line up the design with whatever you’re transferring it to. It’s also nice to use a credit card or something similar to flatten out air bubbles.
Isn’t he cute??! I also made this sweet stuffie:
Box reveal coming tomorrow!!
